Matt Schulte was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from high school in Grand Island before attending John Brown University. After college, he spent several years in the Chicago area and served with an international missions organization in Central America, experiences that shaped his commitment to service and community. In 2011, Matt returned to Lincoln with his family, where he continues to invest in the place he calls home.
Matt and his wife, Kristin, are raising four children, each uniquely gifted with a love for music, dancing, and athletics. He previously served on the Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education from 2015 to 2019 and now serves as a Commissioner on the Lancaster County Board, helping guide key decisions for the region.
In addition to public service, Matt has a passion for real estate and has owned rental properties for over two decades. Having seen firsthand how homeownership can positively shape a family’s future, he is passionate about helping others achieve that same opportunity.
